Adidas’ New Campaign Might Change The Way You Feel About Sportswear

Anushka Mulchandani

Trust Adidas to give us the feels!

You can always count on Adidas to come up with a campaign that makes you feel all sorts of emotions. Before I watched this video, I was all set to demolish a box of cookies with Netflix before bed and wake up nice and late tomorrow; a girl can have a cheat day(s), you know?

Now that I’ve watched this, my alarm for the rest of the week is set to 6am and my gym bag sits eagerly on my table. But it’s not because getting fit is something society insists I do, it’s my prerogative; and like it suggests in their new campaign, I’ll be doing it my way.

Take a look:

Adidas’ Originals collection has always had a sort of cult value. People who wear it come from all kinds of backgrounds, countries and cultures. Not one of them is like the other and yet, we’re all attracted to the same shoe. Which is where the idea of their ‘Original Is Never Finished’ film stems from. It spreads the notion that if you push something far enough, it becomes original again. Take Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” as the theme song for the video. Did you ever imagine the otherwise somber tune to sound this empowering?

Around the same time as the campaign, they launched two shoes we can’t help but be excited about. Their EQT Support Ultra, priced at Rs. 17,999 will be available in a color palette that’s been trending this season – black and pink with a touch of white. And when it comes to their most celebrated Kanye West collection, the first launch for 2017 is the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, priced at Rs. 22,999 in black and red, which is also going to be available in kids’ sizes too – think your infant can handle it?

I don’t know about you, but I like wearing my Adidas with pretty much anything these days. But just incase you’re looking for some inspiration, here’s how you can wear yours:

Sequins and sneakers make for a great combination! Pair your favorite Adidas with your shiniest trousers for a super cool street vibe.

Make like Karlie Kloss and wear your Adidas kicks with your Sunday casuals. They add to the relaxed feel of your look and you can’t go wrong with them!

Adding a bit of contrast to your look is a great way to elevate it. And what’s a better way of color blocking than adding a pair of Adidas to your feet?
