Makeup You Can Wear To The Gym Without Feeling Guilty

No harm in keeping it sexy while you sweat!

Up until recently, I’d read all these articles on how to look good while working out. What kind of clothes and shoes to wear, what to do with your hair. But no one ever told me what I should, or should not do with my makeup routine. As it turns out, having a full face of makeup while you work out is in fact a complete no-no.

As you sweat it out at the gym, or whatever it is you to do stay fit, your skin is supposed to be allowed to breathe. So a no-makeup face is imperative, but what happens when you just can’t leave home without filling in your brows or concealing a few spots?

Here are a couple of dos and don’t to help you figure it all out.

Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

We all know the mixture of cosmetics and sweat can cause you to break out, so your answer here would be oil-free makeup. So while foundation is still a banned from the gym, there’s no harm in using a tinted moisturizer before you work out. Props if it comes with SPF, which is great if you’re working out in the sun.

Maybelline Hyper Curl Waterproof Mascara

I know how hard it can be to step outside without that perfect winged eyeliner, but imagine wiping sweat from your eyes and leaving a huge black smudge in it’s place! It’s definitely safer to leave the cat liner at home. What you can do without worrying is add a little waterproof mascara to your lashes, so your eyes look awake, especially if you’re an early morning fitness freak.

Estée Lauder The Brow Multi Tasker

Filling in your brows won’t do any harm either. Try not to go over the top, highlighting your brow bone for the gym is totally not necessary. Just a simple pencil and powder combination will do the trick!

Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Dry, chapped lips aren’t welcome, no matter where you are. Lipstick would definitely be going over the top so a tinted lip balm is your best bet.

L'Oreal Paris Ideal Skin Makeup Removing Towelettes

And lastly, if you’re one of those girls who hit the gym post work, definitely try to take some of that makeup off, at least the base, before you start those jumping jacks. That way you can still have your eyes looking sharp while you sweat.
