Longchamp’s New Collection Has Us Wishing It Was Spring Already!

Expect all new fresh, floral and feminine silhouettes.

I don’t know about you, but up until recently whenever someone said Longchamp, I always pictured the sturdy, functional Le Pliage tote people hauled on holiday. It wasn’t the most stylish bag around but the durability alone was reason enough to go ahead and pick one up.

Earlier this year, the brand opened it’s first ever flagship store in India (at the DLF Mall in Delhi) and just a few days ago, they held a press show to give us a peek at their new Spring Summer collection – City Blossom. All of a sudden, Longchamp to me is tremendously stylish.

Taking inspiration from two contrasting cities, London and Tokyo the collection comes brimming with dandy colors, think navy, Ivory and red lacquer and a splattering of cherry blossoms.

Everyone’s favorite Le Pliage tote is revamped in the new shades, and their modern silhouettes in the form of backpacks and bucket bags have me struggling to pick just one.

While their signature supple canvas and leather trimmings still make a big part of City Blossom, it’s their fresh new take that’s making me currently reach out for Longchamp over anything else.

The collection launches in store in January and prices start at Rs. 23,000.
