“I think a lot of people feel like good products and treatments are enough for great skin, but that’s not true. For me, it has so much to do with what’s on the inside. And no, I’m not talking about someone’s personality. It’s about what you eat, how you exercise – if you’re getting enough fatty oils, nutrients, iron – stuff like that, you know? I really focus on that. I honestly think my diet plays a huge role in my beauty routine – great skin, great hair and a great body has a lot to do with food.

“Whenever I’m shooting, I have shit tons of makeup on my face. A good cleanser is so necessary for me. I love the Vichy Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Solution because it’s paraben-free. It’s non-oily and feels very natural on my skin. If I run out of it, I’ll use the BioDerma Sensibio H2O Cleanser. I follow it up with the Evian Mineral Water Spray.

With all the pollution and the makeup, it’s always nice to have something that’s light and refreshing. If I can’t find the Evian spray, I’ll just use the Pure Rose Water from Kama Ayurveda. I don’t like products that are too oily, so I tend to always buy things that are water-based and not too heavily scented.

I don’t really have a moisturizer – I just use Bio-Oil under my eyes because it’s great for the skin. I know it’s slowly going out of fashion, but I love the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. I’ve been using it since I was sixteen. I always have a spare in my bag or at home, so I never run out of it. I use it on my eye lids because it’s very cooling – and it’s great because it gives you those glowy lids. I also use it as a lip balm. It’s just one of those products I can’t live without.”

For my body, I use Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula. It’s really effective because it’s super nourishing. The weather in Mumbai tends to dry my skin out a bit – and this is great to keep it soft. I use a scrub from Lisa Haydon’s skin care line ‘Naked’, like, once a week. It’s super natural and it’s got this rich cocoa butter smell, which I’m obsessed with. I don’t believe in scrubbing my skin everyday though, so I don’t use it more than once a week.”

I’m shooting all the time, so I really don’t want to put anything on my face when I’m not working. My regimen’s pretty basic. For the day, I use the Bobbi Brown Concelear only to cover spots – if I have any, that is. In the night, though, I use it all over for even coverage. I use the Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara – it’s great for defined lashes. I really like Benefit’s High Beam for my cheekbones – it gives you a really natural, dewy sheen without looking too made up. I also use a lil’ bit on my nose. For my brows, I use the Bobbi Brown Dark Brow Kit to make them darker than usual.

For my cheeks, I usually use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Rose. I love this product because it’s not too pigmented and it gives you more of a bronzed look. I’m also addicted to the Bobbi Brown Crystal Lip Gloss – I have one in every bag. It’s not too glossy – it’s sort of, like, a matte lip balm and smells pretty fantastic too.

If I want to do a smokey eye for the night, there’s this really deep brown eye shadow from Bobbi Brown that works on my skin tone. God, I sound like a Bobbi Brown junkie. (Laughs). That, with some mascara, and I’m good to go. If I want to do a bold red lip, I love MAC’s Ruby Woo because it’s just that classic red shade that you can’t go wrong with.

There’s this new lipstick that I love from Anastasia Beverly Hills called Pure Hollywood. Now that I know Kim Kardashian wears it, I’m not too keen on it anymore. It’s a matte liquid lipstick. I think it looks great on my skin tone but it’s always sold out everywhere. Shibani Dandekar introduced me to it – she picked up a couple for us when she went to London recently.

“My hair is naturally wavy. I’m one of those lucky people that doesn’t have to wake up in the morning and do much to my hair. I use the MoroccanOil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. I used to use the Kerastase Nutritive Range but I found it quite heavy – my hair doesn’t really need that level of conditioning. I prefer MoroccanOil because it gives my hair a very natural lift.

I don’t have problematic hair – in fact, when I’m travelling I’ll just use the shampoos they have at the hotels. I also take salmon oil tablets for my hair and I think that really helps. If I feel like the ends are a bit dry, then I’ll just apply the MoroccanOil Treatment Original serum.”

“I’m a total perfume addict. Every time I travel, I pick up a new one. Sometimes if the fragrance doesn’t suit me or I don’t like the smell, I end up giving it to someone else. During the day, I wear Viktor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb. It’s got this amazing vanilla note which I just love. Every time I smell myself, I want to eat a dessert. (Laughs). I kinda switch it up a lot – I also use Gucci Flora and Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll. For the nights, I’ll wear Alien by Thierry Mugler because it’s just more, like, sexy.”
