Victoria Beckham’s Collaboration With Estee Lauder Is A Dream Come True

Komal Basith

Two super exciting things have happened over the last couple weeks, both connected: Victoria Beckham, my best friend (in my mind) has released her limited edition collection with Estee Lauder, one of my favourite beauty brands of all time – and Nykaa.com recently announced that they’ll now be retailing Estee Lauder on their site! Oh, happy day.

I’ve been playing around with the VBxEsteeLauder collection over the last few days and I’ve gotta say, I’m blown away – and not because I was biased going in, honest. Estee Lauder is known for their superior quality and products that deliver, this is true, but I’m so impressed by just how great these new products are. Think lipstick that’s the perfect balance between creamy and matte, eyeshadows that apply like a dream, and kajal that glide over your eyelids like pure buttah. Here are a few of my favourite things from the collection, some of which are still available online (whee!) or in stores.

Eye Foil In Burnt Anise

This liquid eyeshadow will give you the edgy, metallic, rockstar glitter eye of your dreams, you guys. The formula is soft and buttery but once it’s on your eyelid, it’s not going anywhere all night. Oh, and the shade! It’s gorgeous! I want to wear it everyday! I have been wearing it everyday.

Eye Metals Eyeshadow In Charred Emerald

The eyes are the real standouts of this collection, and this eyeshadow proves it – it’s the perfect smokey emerald shade that works so exceptionally well on brown eyes and stays put for ages. It looks like it’ll be powdery in the pan but once you get some on your brush, it applies like a soft wash of colour that can be layered until you achieve desired levels of glitter.

Lipstick in Chilean Sunset

Unfortunately, this is sold out everywhere I’ve looked and it’s easy to see why – it’s the perfect warm orangey red that looks matte but wears creamy – still, stocks are continually being replenished so if you’ve got your heart set on it, start calling the store! Alternatively, you can get it here

Eye Kajal

I’m not kidding when I say I’ve never come across a kajal that is so soft and blendable yet so long lasting. The dual ended pen is perfect for creating a smokey eye – line your lashes with the black end and your waterline with the nude end to really make your eyes pop.
